Carnatic Veena Recital @ Pitabaddara

Consulate General of India, Hambantota organized a “Carnatic Veena Recital led by Smt. Yoga Vandana J & Group ”, to commemorate India’s 71st Republic Day. Performance was held on 23rd January 2020 at Main Hall of Pitabaddara Maha Vidyalaya The local hospitality for the troupe was provided by Ministry of Sports Youth and Cultural Affairs, Southern Provincial Council with venue support by Pitabaddara Maha Vidyalaya, Pitabaddara The event at Pitabaddara was graced by Former Minister of Sports Youth & Cultural Affairs of Southern Province Mr. Weerasumana Weerasinghe and Many other guests The programme was witnessed by over 400 people. The Two and half hour performance by the Carnatic Veena Group kept the audience spellbound. They enjoyed the programme and appreciated the efforts of Consulate General of India, Hambantota in bringing such rare and unique music form to Sri Lanka
