Indian Film Festival at Monaragala

The Consulate General of India, Hambantota, in collaboration with local authorities and institutions of Monaragala District, organized a special screening of Indian films for the local community at the Monaragala District Library Auditorium. The event was graced by the Hon’ble Governor, adding significance to the cultural celebration.

The screening in Monaragala was part of the ongoing Indian Film Festival, which commenced on 6th January 2025 held across multiple cities in Sri Lanka until 10th January 2025. The festival showcases a curated selection of Indian films, offering a captivating mix of drama, romance, action, and historical epics.

Celebrating the vibrancy and diversity of Indian cinema, the festival invites audiences to explore the rich cultural and cinematic legacy of India.
