Ayurveda Medical Camp at Monaragala

The Consulate General of India, Hambantota, organized an Ayurveda Medical Camp at Sri Sudharmarama Raja Maha Viharaya in collaboration with the Department of Ayurveda, Uva Province. The camp offered free Ayurvedic consultations and medicines to local residents, promoting holistic healthcare rooted in traditional Indian wisdom.

The Hon’ble Governor of Uva Province and the Consul General of India visited the camp, highlighting its significance in addressing the health needs of the rural community. Given the high prevalence of malnutrition in the Monaragala region, the camp also focused on Ayurvedic dietary practices. Participants were educated on preparing nutritious meals using locally available ingredients.

The initiative received an overwhelming response, with a large number of residents availing themselves of the free medical services and nutritional guidance provided.
