Inviting Applications for Scholarship for studying Hindi in India
for the
Academic Session, 2025-26
The Ministry of Human
Resource Development, Government of India is offering
scholarships to Sri
Lankan nationals to study Hindi at the Kendriya Hindi Sansthan (Central
Institute of Hindi), Agra, for the academic session 2025-2026.
Eligibility
Criteria:
i.
Applicants are required to have studied Hindi as a subject at G.C.E. A/L or
have done beginner or intermediate courses inHindi or any Hindi course
conducted by Universities/Schools of Sri Lanka.
ii. The
candidate must have a minimum written and oral proficiency in Hindi or/and
English.
iii. The
candidate must have basic skills in operating computer.
iv. The
candidate must have a working E-mail IDv. The minimum age for admission is 21
years and the maximum age limit is 45 years as on 01.04.2025
vi. The
academic year of the Institute runs from 1st of August 2025 to 30th of April
2026 (9 months course).
Fully funded scholarship:
The
selected candidates will be provided return airfare (economy class), stipend,
hostel accommodationand an annual book grant.

ii. The candidates are
required to bring duly filled in application forms supported by necessary
documents and their certificates in original and present themselves for an
interview in person at the time of submitting their applications between 10.00 to
1.00 pmon 26 February 2025 at the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (IndianCultural
Centre) Colombo.
iii. The candidates from
Kandy, Hambantota, and Jaffna, kindly submit your application forms and attend
the interview on the same day, 26th February 2025, at the respective offices
mentioned above.
