The Coir Board, under the Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India, is organizing the 4 th edition of theIndia International Coir Fair (IICF) during 15 – 18 July, 2016 at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.Inspired by the resounding success of the previous three editions, held twice in Kerala and oncein New Delhi, the fourth edition of this largest ever showcase of the capabilities of Indian coirsector is proposed to be held with added features in Tamil Nadu, the production hub of Coirfibre and coir pith.
Apart from the regular features and pageantries of the event, Coir Board plan to make it morerewarding and copious in terms of business potentials wrested by the participants. The fair aimsat building up linkages for market development and expansion of the horizon of coir trade andindustry in a multi-dimensional way. It is also proposed to organize Buyer Seller Meets(Domestic and International), Coir Seminars, Investors Meet, All India Road Show, etc. in theIICF-2016. A minimum of 100 buyers from EU, USA, CIS, LAC, Middle East, etc. are proposed tobe roped in for the International Reverse Buyer Seller Meet besides innumerable stakeholderslike wholesalers, buying agents, traders, etc. for the Domestic Buyer Seller Meet. The fair willpresent a confluence of manufacturers, exporters, technology providers, machinerymanufacturers and importers of coir across the globe.
