As part of its outreach initiative to foster closer ties with the local community, the Consulate General of India, Hambantota hosted an engaging interaction over coffee with students from two leading schools in the District– Zahira School, Hambantota and St. Mary's School, Hambantota. The session was designed to create a platform for dialogue, learning, and cultural exchange. During the interactive session, students were introduced to various facets of Indian history, politics, and culture, sparking curiosity and meaningful conversations.

The Consulate team shared insights into India’s democratic values, rich heritage, and diverse traditions, encouraging students to ask questions and share their perspectives. The initiative not only enriched the students' understanding but also reinforced the spirit of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
