Handing over of Humanitarian Assistance in Matara

Continuing the Support to the people of Sri Lanka Consul General of India, Hambantota Mr. Dipin P. R commenced distribution of rice, milk powder in Matara District on 16th June 2022 at Divisional Secretariat, Akurassa in the presence of Mr. Nishan Pathirana Additional District Secretary, Matara, Mrs. K.D.G Anoja , Divisional Secretary, Akuressa and other officials. This humanitarian assistance programme will benefit around 107700 beneficiaries in Matara district alone. This is a part of Government of Tamil Nadu's assistance to the people of Sri Lanka, comprising 40,000 MT of rice and 500 MT of milk powder, which is being distributed across the island currently.
