2^nd Edition of AKAM –Zero Five Premier League – 2022

As a part of celebrating 75 years of India’s Independence (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav) Consulate General of India, Hambantota in association with 05 Group - Old Boy Association of Mahinda College organized the 2^nd Edition of  “AKAM –Zero Five Premier League – 2022” cricket tournament  on 26^th November 2022 at  Kumme Public Ground, Baddegama.

02.       Total Six Cricket teams representing the 05 Group of All Boy Association took part in the tournament. The Championship was won by Team Grizzly Bears and the all the winners were presented with trophies by Consul General Mr. Dipin P.R. They deeply appreciated the contribution of Consulate General of India, Hambantota for organizing the event.

03.       Last year on 10^th December 2021, the 1^st Edition of  “AKAM –Zero Five Premier League – 2022” was organized as an initiative to encourage the abiding interest in sports among emerging new athletes. Consulate General of India, Hambantota has been actively promoting development activities in the field of Sports continuously & recently, on 24^th November, Consulate General of India, Hambantota handed over essential Sports items to Aliyawatta Tamil Vidyalaya in Monaragala. CGI Hambantota has also dedicated a practice side wicket established under the aegis of the Consulate to cricket enthusiasts in Thissamaharama Last year.
