71st Republic Day of India celebrations in Southern Province, Sri Lanka

The Consulate General of India, Hambantota in Sri Lanka celebrated the 71st Republic Day of India on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the consulate premises in Hambantota. The Consul General, Mr. Prem Kumar Nair, unfurled the Indian flag at 9.00 a.m. He read out the address to the nation by the Hon´ble President of India.

2. About 50 Guests, including, Deputy Mayor & Municipal council members of Hambantota, DIG, Tangalle, Commanding Officer of Yala- Kirinda Army Base , Acting Commander of Naval Base Hambantota, Representative from District Secretary's office, Senior Government officials, local police officials, other officials and dignitaries participated in the flag hoisting ceremony. Refreshments were served after the event.
