A Rock Band Concert to Mark India's 74th Republic Day
& Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav
As a part of celebrating 74th Republic
Day of India & Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Consulate General of India, Hambantota
in association with Indian Council for Cultural Relations, New Delhi &
Southern Provincial Ministry of Sports, Youth Affairs & Culture organized a
Rock Band Concert on 30th January 2023 at Hall De Galle Auditorium,
Galle.
02. The Performance featured UDX (Under the
Cross), a renowned Rock band from India led by Inakhu Atoshe Ayeh. UDX is a
seven-member band, which performed in Sri Lanka for the first time, hails Nagaland,
India, known for its musical talent
& unique music style.
03. The occasion was graced by the H.E (Dr).
Willie Gamage, Hon’ble Governor of Southern Province, Mr. Bimal Indrajith De Silva, Secretary, Southern Provincial Ministry of
Sports, Youth Affairs & Culture. More than 400 distinguished witnessed the
programme including many prominent local personalities.
04. The one and half hour performance by the
Rock Band kept the audience spellbound at the venue. They enjoyed the programme
and appreciated the efforts of Consulate General of India, Hambantota in
bringing such energetic & youthful music genre to Sri Lanka.
