AKAM –Zero Five Premier League – 2021

As a part of celebrating 75 years of India’s Independence (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav) Consulate General of India, Hambantota in association with 05 Group - Old Boy Association of Mahinda College organized “AKAM –Zero Five Premier League – 2021 ” cricket tournament  on 11^th December 2021 at  Kumme Public Ground, Baddegama.

02.       Total Six Cricket teams representing the 05 Group of All Boy Association took part in the tournament. The Championship was won by Team Grizzly Bears and the all the winners were presented with trophies by Consul General Mr. Dipin P.R. They deeply appreciated the contribution of Consulate General of India, Hambantota for organizing the event.

03.       In Southern Province of Sri Lanka, Consulate General of India, Hambantota has been actively promoting development activities in the field of Sports. Last month on 27^th November, Consulate General of India, Hambantota dedicated a practice side wicket established under the aegis of the Consulate to cricket enthusiast in Thissamaharama. Also, during its regular interactions with schools in southern province the Consulate has been providing various supports to encourage the abiding interest in sports among emerging new athletes.
