Blood Donation Camp organized by Consulate General of India, Hambantota

            As part of the celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Consulate General of India, Hambantota in association with Hambantota Blood Bank organized a Blood Donation Camp on 28^th June 2022 at the Consulate Library Hall.

2.         Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of her people, culture and achievements. India’s Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 12th March 2021 formally launched India@75 celebrations at Sabarmathi Ashram in Gujarat, 75 weeks before 15th August 2022.

3.         The Blood Donation Camp also coincided with World Blood Donor’s Day which was celebrated on 14^th June. Officials of the Consulate, volunteers from SLNS Kawanthissapura Naval Deployment, Hambantota Hatton National Bank,  Hambantota District Chamber of Commerce, Hambantota DFCC Bank, Hambantota Fishing Community & Hambantota Local Community donated blood to mark the celebrations.
