Consul General of India, Hambantota called on Hon. Governor of Uva Province

Consul General of India, Hambantota Mr. Dipin P.R, called on Hon. Governor of Uva Province, His Excellency Mr. A.J.M. Muzammil at the Governor Secretariat in Uva Province on 9th June 2022. They had a cordial discussion on further strengthening India Sri Lanka relationship in the Monaragala District.

02           Discussions focused on matters of mutual interest including Development Corporation by Government of India in Monaragala District, Cultural  activities and Consul General also briefed the Governor about the overall economic assistance provided by the Government of India to Sri Lanka in 2022 which stands close to USD 3 billion.

03.          Consul General thanked Governor for the continuing support and assistance to the Consulate in organizing various activities in Monaragala District and the Governor also extended his gratitude towards Government and people of India for their support to Sri Lanka to overcome the ongoing economic challenges.
