Indian Food Corner & Millet Corner at International Food & Cultural Festival Matara

United Nations, declared the year 2023 as the International Year of Millets with the aim to create awareness and increase production & consumption of millets. To commemorate this, CGI Hambantota is hosting various interactive activities to promote Millets in daily life

02.          As a part of the Celebration, a special millet counter showcasing various millets & millet-based products was organized during the International Food & Cultural Festival organized by Matara District Chamber of Commerce at Matara Beach Park on 18th February 2023

03.          In addition, Consulate General of India, Hambantota also set up an Indian food corner celebrating culinary diversity of India during the food festival. The food corner highlighted the shared heritage and culinary connections between India and Sri Lanka. The guests experienced India’s unique food varieties and admired various cooking styles.
