Women’s Day Every Day – Women's Day Special Programme

International Women’s Day is marked every year celebrating women’s achievements, focusing on eliminating gender based violence and discrimination along with adopting innovative approaches to bring perceptible changes to social, political, economic and cultural empowerment of women.

02.          Celebrating International Women's Day 2023, Consulate General of India, Hambantota organized a special event under the theme " Women's Day Every Day " at Weligama Bay Marriott Resort on 28th March 2023.

02.          The purpose of this programme was to provide recognition to Women who have distinguished themselves in different sectors, profession and community. The participants of this programme epitomized the values and represented the best of women as leaders in Southern Province, Sri Lanka

03.          A token of appreciation was presented to all the invitees in recognition of their outstanding contribution toward society by the Consul General Mr. Dipin P. R & Vice Consul Mrs. Ch. Ratnamala. The event was graced by the Governor Secretary, Divisional Secretaries & many other prominent women personalities of Southern Province
